"Ars longa, vita brevis." In constant research of my own art style. I have this particular interest in faces, gestures, eye looks... There is something about humans, their expressions and gestures that stays in my memory and that I can "cartoonishly' draw. I am capable of drawing many things about diverse subjects; however, starring at faces in traffic, on the streets, trains and just in my daily basis have been my latest object of investigation. A look, a gesture or a face can transmit thousand of feelings, although I prefer to make my own movie about someone else's life even if is not true.
I attended "La escuela Central de Artes Visuales" in Puerto Rico for middle and high school where I mastered the wood engraving technique. I got my degree in Art Education at the University of Puerto Rico. I have been teaching for the past seven years; I swear I learn everyday something new from my students.
Art could be just art, a delight to the eyes, an expression of a soul, a message to the world or a revolution. Believe me, art impacts society because art is the way to sparkle creativity. It is a chain, creativity is obviously needed to solve the biggest social-political issues in the world. We have witnessed the same solutions to the problems with no results, but only creative minds will change the world.
Lately, I have been working on Graphic wall art, painting, stencil, wood engraving and ink.
